An IndiGo flight from Mumbai to Guwahati unexpectedly landed in Dhaka, Bangladesh, based on the latest reports. The diversion was a result of adverse weather conditions and low visibility at the intended Guwahati airport. The flight was scheduled to arrive in Guwahati at 11:10 PM but it touched down in Dhaka at 4 AM on Saturday. The pilot initially considered Kolkata as an alternative, but unfavorable weather conditions there led to the decision to redirect the flight. Bhubaneswar was the next option, but a closed runway prompted the flight to make an emergency landing in Dhaka, the closest available airport. IndiGo promptly issued an official statement confirming the diversion, citing bad weather in Guwahati as the reason.
