Kuwait's fire service said on Thursday an electrical short circuit caused the blaze that killed at least 49 people in a building housing foreign workers on Wednesday. Kuwaiti authorities said three people had been detained for suspected manslaughter over a building fire that killed 49 foreign workers, mostly Indians, and plunged relatives and friends into mourning.
