Rajesh Kumar, popularly known as Rosesh Sarabhai, is all set to return as Math teacher Gaggan Sir in the third season of the extremely successful show Kota Factory. But not many are aware that in real-life, Maths and Rajesh have a very complicated relationship, they haven’t seen each other eye to eye in a very long time.

Kota Factory: Teachers, Science & Math Woes ft. Jitendra Sharma, Tillotama Shome & Rajesh Kumar

Talking about his Math-phobia, Rajesh exclusively told ETimes, “ My interactions with math are far from straightforward.
In my 10th standard, I remember I was solving the unitary method and it took me a good 4 hours to finally figure out X and Y and since then I have dropped Math from my life. So when I was approached for the show, I was so scared that I requested everyone on the show that please don't give me any scenes where I'm teaching Maths in the class because I have nothing to do with this subject. And they agreed, thankfully, I had all the scenes with Jeetu ( Jitendra Kumar ) and Tillotama (Shome) which were out of the classroom. So, I enjoyed that more.”

Also it has been about 20 years since Rajesh's iconic character of Rosesh Sarabhai from Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai , he also opened up about how the role has overpowered his career. He said , “ It has!. There was a time when I went to ask for work and I was told it's very difficult for us to break your image. Because of that, I increased my weight and made myself bald. And I went out for work. And believe me, it's been 25 years for me in the industry. I did two Hindi films in the last 24 years. And in the last year, I did four films. Just because my entire look changed. So, overpowering is there. But what will you do now? For example, Late Pankaj Udhas ji is still known as Chitti Aai. So, there are some things that stay with you lifelong. As I always say, I don't have any baggage. I just carry luggage ( laughs).”
