Scoring big in the community! ⚽️ Last Friday, our Charity Partner BLGC invited us to their annual Patrons and Supporters Football Tournament! Hosted on their Hacken Lane Astroturf, we rallied 3 squads of JD Sports Fashion colleagues, to lace up their boots and challenge other BLGC supporters for the ultimate champion title. Every goal and tackle helped raise funds to support BLGC in continuing their vital youth work in Bolton and the surrounding area. Love and Pride 💛 🏳️🌈   We’re delighted to have supported HideOut Youth Zone with their Pride Celebration last Saturday! 🎊   The day was bursting with, face paint, roller skates, cupcakes and a visit from the ice cream van. A celebration of resilience, strength and growth! 💪 Last week, we proudly joined Clear Futures as Headline Sponsors for Bolton’s Voice 4U Celebration at Bolton Wanderers Tough Sheet Community Stadium! The celebratory event was aimed to raise the aspirations of Bolton’s looked after children and young people, empowering them so they can achieve and flourish. Our JD Foundation volunteers brought the energy, welcoming over 360 groovy guests to their festival themed party! As well as live performances and activities, including obstacle courses and face painting, selected young people were commemorated with awards presented by the Mayor of Bolton. 🏆 “It was humbling and inspiring to see young people from challenging backgrounds celebrate their resilience, strength, and growth. Speaking with social workers and foster parents, the unsung heroes, was an honour. Miles of impact ⛰️🥾 On Saturday, JD Sports Fashion’s Property and Finance colleagues laced up their walking boots and headed up north to conquer Ullswater Way. Tackling the second-largest lake in the Lake District, our hikers covered 21 miles in 8 hours, raising over £1900 to support young people across the UK achieve their unlimited potential! “Despite tough conditions and heavy rain, colleagues from the UK and Europe battled the elements for around 10 hours to complete the walk and raise funds for the JD Foundation.” - Mike Keating, JD Group Head of Health and Safety 🗣️ Thank you for your incredible support and generosity!
