      1. BA LLB (Hons) course details consists of law and humanities courses; the first degree under the integrated programme will have 20 non-law papers.
      2. The Law courses beginning right from the first semester covers 20 compulsory papers, 4 clinic papers, 6 optional papers and 8 papers of specialisation.
      3. It includes Clinical, Electives, Honours courses, and Legal Internships
      4. Subjects in BA LLB (Hons) programme covers History, Political Science, Economics, and Sociology, along with the in-depth study of law and legislature
      5. The curriculum is designed to impart advocacy skills through clinical legal education essential for courtroom litigation, alternative dispute resolutions, advisory and consultancy services
      6. The curriculum of the Law papers has been designed to incorporate emerging areas of Artificial Intelligence & Law, Entertainment Law, Advanced Intellectual Property Law, Internet Law & Governance, Privacy Law and other laws. 
      Core Law Papers Humanities Paper Clinical Papers Mooting Interdisciplinary work
      It offers 26 core law papers, including Constitutional Law, Family Law, Civil Procedure Code & Law of Limitation, Administrative Law, Public International Law, Labour & Industrial Law and many others. The first degree papers offered as a part of B.A LL.B. (Hons.) include Political Science, Sociology, History and Economics. To impart the practical knowledge of court craft and necessary legal skills, the course curriculum has four clinical papers, namely, Moot Court Clinic, Alternate Dispute Resolution, Professional Ethics, and Drafting, Pleading and Conveyance Gain from the faculty and student- administered Moot Court Committee, which selects in- house teams for external participation. Moot court is a compulsory 1 credit course which begins from 1st academic year of the Law programme. Gain knowledge and experience in an inter- disciplinary university environment e.g. artificial intelligence, entertainment, Internet, surveillance, air and space and privacy.

      2. BU-SOL has constituted an Internship and Placement Committee (IPC) which oversee the responsibility of the internships and placement for the students of law.
      3. IPC enhances the prospects of internship in various legal institutions and is oriented towards placing the students in institutions of repute.
      4. BU-SOL has set in motion of establishing a network of law firms, corporates, policy think-tanks and other stakeholders of legal fraternity to facilitate the internships spread across geographical zones.

    • Are law programs approved by the Bar Council of India?

      The law programs, including BBA LLB (Hons), BA LLB (Hons), and LLB (Hons), are approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI).

    • What is the difference between BBA LLB (Hons) and BA LLB (Hons)?

      The difference between both the programs lies in the BBA and BA components. BBA LLB (Hons) focuses mainly on business and law, while BA LLB (Hons) focuses more on the interface of law and society to build requisite capacity in litigation. The law components for both the programs are the same. Also, both streams will have elective courses for students that complement their BA or BBA components.

    • Are law-specific subjects taught in the first year? If yes, how many?

      Yes, law-specific subjects are taught from the first year to both BA LLB (Hons) and BBA LLB (Hons) programs. These include Law of Torts, Criminal Law, Law of Contracts, Legal Method, Law and Economics, and Moot Court Clinic. Apart from this, students are involved in Legal Aid activities from their first year through the legal aid clinic.

    • What kind of legal publications and books are available in the Law Library? 

      The School of Law library is equipped with a contemporary collection of books, journals, and reports. It has subscribed to online databases like Manupatra.com, Supreme Court Case Online (SCC ONLINE), All India Reporter (AIR Online), HeinOnline, LexisNexis, and West Law. The library is fully automated using KOHA v17 – Integrated Library Management System and Online and Mobile Public Access Catalogue (M/OPAC), which enable students to search the library’s collection. The Law Library is equipped with a collection of 3542 books and Legal language lab software by Clarity English.

    • What are the skills a law graduate must possess?

      A graduate of law must reflect the broad spectrum of skills and ethics imparted through the rigorous 5-year program. A lawyer must be proficient in communication and language – both in English and the vernacular. Also, an acutely logical mind helps lawyers understand the law, analyze the factual matrix, and frame strong arguments. Most importantly, while advocating the cause of their client, the lawyer must ensure that this noble profession's legal and ethical mandates are upheld.

    • Is the university responsible for arranging internships?
