The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced to start the metro train services at 6 am to facilitate students of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) civil services exam 2020. The Preliminary Examination of the Civil Services Examination for recruitment to various services and posts will be held by the UPSC on October 4.
Earlier it was supposed to be held on May 31 which was rescheduled due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
“To facilitate students for the UPSC examinations, Delhi Metro services will begin at 6 AM from terminal stations of all lines on 4th October (sic),” tweeted DMRC.
The number of vacancies to be filled through the examination is expected to be approximately 796.
The Civil Services examination will consist of two successive stages Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination (Objective type) for the selection of candidates for the Main Examination followed by Personality Test round.
Replying to DMRC tweet, some of the students urged the authorities to run the services for other exams including JNUEE, UPPCS. These exams are set to be conducted next week.
