NEET PG 2024 exam date to be announced in a week: NBEMS president

As per media reports, the ministry of health and NBEMS reviewed the process of NEET PG exam and a meeting was conducted to evaluate the ‘robustness’ of the exam-conducting procedure. Keeping in view the cancellation of the exam, a fresh date will be announced based on the availability of examination centres.

 

The NBEMS president while talking to the media has said that the integrity of NEET PG exam was never in doubt. The exam was conducted successfully for the last seven years, but given the recent events and concerns raised by the students, the government has taken the decision to ensure that the safety and security of the exams should be maintained, the NBEMS president said. He added that it has been decided to review the SOPs and protocols as soon as possible. The next due date of the exam will be declared in one week’s time, Sheth said to the media.

 

 As to why the NEET PG advisory was issued by the medical board pertaining to the social media messages and warnings only a day before the exam, the NBEMS chief said it was to ensure that students follow the correct path. Expressing regret that the exam was postponed at the last moment, he reiterated that the exam will be conducted safely and securely to maintain the exam’s sanctity and that there will be no shortcomings for which NBEMS is working closely with the government.

 

As to the possibility of NEET PG result declaration in September, the NBEMS chief said that results may be announced even before September, but it would not be possible to talk about the issue at this point in time.
