Copy: As per the proposal suggested by CBSE, the class XII result would also take into account the students' performance in class X and XI.

Class XII result would be a composite result of class X, XI and XII with 30% weightage to class X and XI each and 40% to class XII. For class X, the best of three subjects for which students have already got marks, would be taken into consideration out of a total of five or six subjects. 30% weightage of class XI would be calculated on the theory component of the final exam. Class XII 40% weightage would be calculated on the basis of unit tests, mid-term exams and pre-board exams with actual practical marks already uploaded by schools.

Students who did not appear in mid-term and pre-boards either online or offline, would be assessed on the basis of a committee formed by the school in an objective, credible and reliable manner which needs to be submitted to CBSE in a written format.

As marks of class XI and XII would be awarded at the school level, it would create a very intricate situation because of variations in the quality of question papers, evaluation standards and processes and the mode for conducting of exams. Therefore, for ensuring standardisation, each school will have to internally moderate the marks to account for the school level variations by using a reliable reference standard.

The results of class XII would be declared by July 31, 2021.

Following is the tabular form on the basis of which the result of class XII students is proposed to be arrived at by CBSE appointed committee.
