UGC NET June 2024 exam schedule out, details inside

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the University Grants Commission–National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET) June Exam 2024 schedule.

Candidates planning to appear for the examination can check the schedule on the official website of NTA at nta.ac.in.

The UGC NET examination will be held on June 18, 2024, for 83 subjects in OMR (pen and paper) mode.

The test is conducted by the NTA biannually in June and December.

The notification regarding the exam centre will be displayed on the NTA website(s) https://ugcnet.nta.ac.in and www.nta.ac.in, 10 days before the exam.

Candidates are also advised to visit the NTA website(s) www.nta.ac.in and https://ugcnet.nta.ac.in for the latest updates.

The testing agency will hold the exam to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for the ‘award of junior research fellowship and appointment as assistant professor’, ‘appointment as an assistant professor and admission to PhD’, and ‘admission to PhD only’ in Indian universities and colleges.

The UGC, recently, has approved the use of National Eligibility Test (NET) scores for PhD admissions starting the 2024-25 academic session. The decision will help streamline the admission process under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, to eliminate the need for multiple entrance exams.

Step 1: Visit the official website of NTA at nta.ac.in.

Step 2: Click on the UGC NET June Exam 2024 city intimation slip available on the home page.

Step 3: Enter the login details and click on submit.

Step 4: Your exam city slip will be displayed on the screen.

Step 5: Check the details and download the page.

Step 6: Keep a hard copy of the same for further need.
