Following the NEET UG retest, which was conducted on July 23, the scorecards for the same are likely to be released soon.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) held the re-examination for 1,563 candidates who were earlier granted grace marks due to 'loss of time'. However, 813 (52%) of the total 1,563 candidates took the retest. The remaining 48% of the candidates decided to go ahead with their original scores, sans the grace marks awarded to them post the exam. The scorecards for the NEET UG retest are likely to be released on June 30.
As per media reports, two registered candidates did not attend the re-exam at the Chandigarh centre. At the Jhajjar centre, which was under the scanner since many top rankers materialised from there, 287 out of the 494 candidates took the retest. In Chhattisgarh, 291 candidates appeared for the retest, while one candidate took the exam in Gujarat, and another 234 candidates appeared for the exam in Meghalaya.
Steps to download scorecard
The NEET UG 2024 exam was held on May 5, in which over 24 lakh candidates took the exam. The initial results were declared on June 4. A total of 67 students bagged a perfect 720 score, which is a record number in the history of NEET UG.
The NEET UG 2024 exam is under scrutiny due to alleged paper leaks, malpractices and impersonation. After taking stock of the situation, the Ministry of Education has handed over the matter to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for a thorough investigation of the matter.
