MHT-CET 2010 is a single combined Common Entrance Test
For admission to
Health Sciences, Engineering and Pharmacy degree courses for the academic year 2010-2011 for admission to Government, Municipal Corp, Govt Aided colleges of Health science degree courses, Government, Government Aided, University managed colleges, university departments, autonomous institutions, Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai (UICT) and unaided private colleges (those who have given consent to participate in MHT-CET-2010 of engineering and pharmacy degree courses) and BVSc & AH degree course.
Eligibility
HSC (12th Std) or equivalent examination with conditions for eligibility as defined in the respective brochure/s on www.dmer.org.in or www.dte.org.in. Outside Maharashtra State (OMS) candidates are permitted to appear for the MHT-CET 2010 in order to become eligible for four year full time degree courses in Engineering/ Technology in unaided private institutions who have given consent to participate in MHT-CET 2010 and four year full time degree course in Pharmacy in unaided private institutes who have given consent to participate in MHT-CET 2010. The MHT-CET 2010 will consist of three question papers. Each paper is of 100 marks. Paper I- Physics & Chemistry (50 marks each), Paper II - Biology (Botany & Zoology - 50 marks each) and Paper III- Mathematics (100 Marks). There is no choice among the questions, so all questions have to be answered. The candidate applying for selection to Health Science courses and BVSc & AH should appear for Paper I & Paper II. Candidates applying for selection to Engineering/Technology degree courses should appear for Paper I and Paper III and the candidate desirous of selection to Pharmacy degree course should appear for Paper I & Paper-II and/or Paper-III. Each correct answer will be given mark/(s). There shall be no negative marking for wrong answers. Changing an Answer is not allowed. Syllabi of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics for the MHT-CET 2010 will be the same as for the current year for HSC Examination (i.e. March 2010) of HSC Boards of Maharashtra. Each paper would be of one and half hours each. The medium for examination shall be English or Marathi or Urdu for Physics, Chemistry and Biology. However, Mathematics paper shall be in English only. The option once exercised about the medium by the candidate shall be irrevocable.

Available at the respective junior colleges/ high school. At Divisional Authorities for candidates who have appeared/ passed HSC/ 12th Std or equivalent exam from Outside Maharashtra. Refer notification in Times of India in first week of March 2010 or the above websites for details.
