  1. Appear for CLAT (Common Law Admission Test): For details on CLAT visit https://consortiumofnlus.ac.in/ clat-2024/
  2.  Results: After the CLAT exam, results are typically published, the tentative date for CLAT 2024 results is 2nd week of December of 2023. you will be provided with a CLAT scorecard. Your admission to NLSIU depends on your rank in CLAT.
  3.  NLSIU Bangalore Admission Notification: NLSIU will release a notification on its website and through other mediums, specifying the cutoff ranks required for admission. You should monitor their official website for updates.
  4. Online Registration: Shortlisted candidates must complete the online registration process provided by NLSIU. This usually includes filling out an admission form, uploading required documents, and paying the application fee.
  5.  Merit List and Counselling: NLSIU will release a merit list based on the CLAT scores and other admission criteria. If your name appears on the merit list, you will be invited to participate in the counselling process.
  6.  Document Verification: During the counselling session, you'll need to provide original documents and certificates for verification. Make sure you have all the required documents with you.
  7.  Seat Allotment: Seats are allocated based on your CLAT rank, reservation criteria, and availability of seats in the program of your choice.
  8.  Fee Payment: After seat allotment, you will need to pay the admission fee to secure your place at NLSIU. Be sure to follow the payment deadlines.
  9.  Admission Confirmation: Once the fee is paid, your admission to NLSIU Bangalore is confirmed, and you will receive an admission letter or offer of admission.

The total intake capacity is 120 for the 3-year LL.B (Hons.) programme in the Academic Year 2023-24. Admission to the programme will be through an all-India written admissions test, the National Law School Admissions Test (NLSAT-LLB).

The university also extends a range of online & hybrid programmes under its Distance Education Department (DED).
