Touted to be the most anticipated wedding of the year, Anant Ambani-Radhika Merchant wedding is finally here. And it begins with their sangeet ceremony taking place at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre. Both Anant and Radhika Are Wearing Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla
Both bride- and groom-to-be chose outfits by designers Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla for their sangeet. Radhika chose a kalidar lehenga with an off-beat colour combination – champagne pink and pastel green – which lent the outfit a vintage English appeal. The off-the-shoulder blouse features crystal tassels akin to the detailing on a chandelier which was also the inspiration for the outfit. Then, the fact that the lehenga is embellished with innumerable Swarovski crystals for ornamentation makes perfect sense.
While Radhika’s outfit was pastel and delicate, Anant Ambani’s bandhgala sherwani drew inspiration from Persian art and gardenia-inspired motifs inundated his look. Embroidered with real gold zari, kasab and embellished with sequins, this look was the epitome of grandeur when it comes to men’s fashion. But, of course, to expect anything less from the Ambanis would be uncharacteristic on our part as people who have spent countless hours documenting the fashion of this ‘It’ couple.
