I wish Eventbrite utilized AI to help people come up with copy when creating a new event. Sometimes, it's the lack of great copy by people that makes the experience less pleasant and uninspiring. It can be easily countered by smart suggestions.

Eventbrite is always up-to-date with the latest events happening in my area or in an area that I'm traveling to for work. I have now experienced twice the failure of communication from the platform , as well as zero ability to reach out to support.
Today, I received a notification of a cancelled ticket. OK, why? Turns out the organizer first used the platform to notify all ticket holders of why the event was cancelled, and I did not receive it. Not even in SPAM.
Four years ago, for a paid event, I showed up in Los Angeles to an event that had been cancelled.
I have been on the receiving end of EventBrite four times, and two of them botched the cancellation notification.

Purchased concert tickets. When showed up for the event about a month later - could not even get it! My tickets would not scan at all, management could not even find my purchased using my name and ID! So someone sold me either fake tickets or sold the same tickets on multiple sites and someone else used them before me. Cannot get any refund or even a response from Eventbrite! The lack of editability in modules on the Event page, specifically pertaining to the must have information such as map, date, time which are automatically at the top of the page taking up a lot of space. I love how easy and straightforward it is to create and manage an event on Eventbrite. All the basic information about it is asked in a very structured way and that makes it easier to manage it. It also allows checking past events you've created which can be an interesting source of data. I always get confused when it's time to generate the shortened link to share the event. I think that's something that could be improved and the link could be part of the overall process of creating the event. Because I use it only a few times a year, I always need to Google how to do that. It could be improved in terms of promoting locally / choosing how to promote it / geofencing / targeting. The process of registering to attend any event takes a lot of time, and I need to repeat it each time I register for a different event. I don't like the interface of Eventbrite as it is a little bit difficult to move through the different booths of an event. I think one thing that frustrates me is my Customer list. For some reason I have about 6 different customer lists. I havno idea how that happened. I did not create those. So when I send out an invite I click on every single list and I hope that each customer is not receiving 6 different emails for the events. I have not had time to make one list. Easy to use with clear steps to set up events. It creates trust with attendees and is an easy way to share and spread the word about the event. You can create recurring events, which we've found particularly helpful as we don't need to keep setting up monthly events. Overall i don't find anything in particular we dislike. Sometimes it can be confusing to cancel/postpone an event as you have to go through a process, you'll receive prompts on how to do it, but it's not always clear. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's very easy to manage the ticket sales for an event as well as contacting ticket buyers and integration with Facebook. There are other ticket portals which we have used but they always seem to be more complicated; we've never had to contact Eventbrite support as it's all self explanatory.
