To celebrate this past weekend's Super Bowl and the Jordan Flight Path experience, the Cleared For Takeoff crew headed to Las Vegas to capture an engaging celebration with 30 female varsity flag football players from the Bishop Gorman High School. The private event took place at the Sahara Hibbett store in Las Vegas and included a surprise appearance and meaningful conversation with NFL Linebacker, Devin White of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Aja Johnson. During the exclusive event, the women were treated to full Jordan looks, professional make-up, custom jerseys branded with Team Johnson and Team White, media training, a photoshoot and $500 gift cards with a private shopping experience, courtesy of Hibbett and Jordan.
In celebration of the recent Cincinnati, OH featured episodes of Fresh Off The Block, City Gear, in partnership with Nike, hosted an in-store event at one of our local stores with special guests Brince Etter and Mark Dorris! Both men do exceptional work in their communities and at City Gear, our goal is to give back to the communities we serve. On behalf of City Gear and Nike, Brince and Mark were both presented with $10,000 each for their respective organizations, Based on a True Story and the Leave Your Mark Foundation.
For the fourth consecutive year, we partnered with PUMA Group to present Children’s of Alabama with a combination of much-needed monetary donations, apparel, footwear and accessories to support Care Closet, Sugar Plum Shop and the CHIPS Center. Additionally, the hospital was gifted with 1,000 Pop-its toys, for hospital staff to use to help entertain distressed patients and their siblings, who may have accompanied the family on an emergency room visit.
As a professional athlete, Bryce Young is grateful to be in a position to inspire the next generation to pursue their dreams. As part of the Cleared for Takeoff launch in partnership with Jordan brand, Bryce surprised 25 local youth in Charlotte, North Carolina with a private shopping moment at Hibbett. Made possible in partnership with WINGS and the Carolina Youth Coalition, each child walked away a new pair of the Air Jordan 11 "Gratitude," autographs and pictures with Bryce, and a $1000 Hibbett gift card meant to Clear them for Takeoff for the next year ahead.
