The National Memory Care Symposium called Ingleside at King Farm home the past 2 days, and what an exciting 2 days it was! Partnering with LeadingAge Maryland and LifeSpan Network, the Memory Care Symposium included interactive breakout sessions, demonstrations from LifeLoop, Embodied Labs, Eldergrow and Eugeria as well as performances from the Dementia Man and Sentinmental Journey Singers! The always amazing Ingleside at King Farm team shined bright with all the community has to offer! This inaugural event was one for the books! Doug Myers, President and CEO, and Kate Kavitski, MA, RDT, CDP, Director of Development for Westminster Ingleside Foundation were proud to present at the National Memory Care Symposium, hosted at Ingleside at King Farm. Teaming up with Maureen Charlton, Director of Memory Care Support Services and Programming, they hosted an educational session, "Enhancing Memory Support Programming through Philanthropy." Over the past two years, Westminster Ingleside Foundation has raised over $1.5 million specifically to benefit memory programming and capital needs at all of Ingleside's communities.

We had an amazing time at the Inaugural National Memory Care Symposium! We are so grateful to everyone who had a part in making this happen, and sharing the excitement and efforts of reshaping the picture of memory care! Thank you to all our attendees for showing up with enthusiasm, open minds, and true passion to innovate new ways to look at memory care. A huge thank you to the residents and team at Ingleside at King Farm for welcoming us into their home, and hosting and collaborating with us on this event! We were honored to have our CEO, Carrie Shaw present at the Memory Care Symposium – a collaboration between LeadingAge Maryland and LifeSpan Network – speaking on the impact that VR and web immersive technology has on fostering actionable empathy, human connection, and improving outcomes in care. 

Last week, we were glad to visit Collington, A Kendal Affiliate and hear about the upcoming renovations across the campus. The community will expand in the coming years including new cottages, IL apartments, and renovations throughout the community spaces and assisted living. Thank you Ann E.
