On National Fentanyl Awareness Day, our team remains committed to providing education and promoting awareness of the prevalence of fentanyl in communities across the nation. From New Hampshire to Myrtle Beach and Baltimore City to Detroit, we continue our relentless fight to improve the identification of and response to patients who use drugs and alcohol. While we have seen the impact fentanyl has had on this epidemic through our work with hospitals and community-based health centers we continue to find hope everywhere we go. Please check out our brand new Harm Reduction Toolkits which include strategies to implement in your community and how to bridge the gap between knowledge and action. It starts with awareness and the results can save lives. ABCs of Harm Reduction: A Toolkit for Hospitals - https://lnkd.in/ekWm8W24 Harm Reduction in Community Settings - https://lnkd.in/eSEBbCJi

We are proud to release a new toolkit for hospital Emergecy Departments in partnership with NACCHO. The “Emergency Department-Based Substance Use Response” toolkit provides effective strategies to combat the leading cause of injury-related deaths in the US — drug overdoses. This is more than guidelines—it's a transformative approach that empowers healthcare professionals to improve public health outcomes. Across various communities and states, I take immense pride in the work undertaken by Mosaic Group to expand access to life-saving medications for individuals experiencing substance use disorders. Since 2006, from Baltimore City to Myrtle Beach and Detroit to Appalachia we have worked diligently to strengthen the capacity of communities to deliver this standard of care and mitigate the pervasive stigma that prevents millions of people from accessing medication to treat their disorder. Still so much work to be done and feeling more determined than ever to continue to be catalyst for change.

Way to go Heather (Gallagher) Raley !!
Our Mosaic Group Senior Behavioral Health Consultant, Heather (Gallagher) Raley presented on Project H.E.A.R.T and the Reverse the Cycle program at the Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery (CCAR) Multiple Pathway to Recovery Conference in Des Moines, Iowa earlier this week. Additionally, she was excited to participate in sharing the work completed as part of the IRIS Project Maryland Fellowship on Peer Recovery Coach Workforce Development. An exciting week surrounded by a thriving workforce passionate about supporting those with a substance use disorder. It was a valuable experience to meet so many others working toward the same goal and connect ideas and experiences for future collaboration!
