We love the foresight of Kathryn Metcalfe and the NYU School of Professional Studies team to start a master class in understanding and combating mis and disinfo that has potential to become a larger curriculum at NYU with support of leaders in this area. Our audience in Austin during SXSW walked away realizing we all have alot to learn to prepare for tomorrow's challenges. Raymond F. Kerins Jr. and I are pleased to play a role in developing the future of this important new program. #NYU SPS #Disinformation #marketing #Communications #

Mis/Disinformation is a defining challenge of our time. How can communicators and marketers lead in the rapidly evolving and increasingly misleading marketplace? Visiting professor, Kathryn Metcalfe, recently joined The Unlock Brunch at SXSW to share how NYU SPS Integrated Marketing & Communications will soon be offering a new master class and certification designed to demystify mis- and disinformation. Those who take the master class will: - Understand most common sources of mis- and disinformation - Learn to identify and act on questionable information distribution - Enhance their ability to predict and prevent mis- and disinformation - Mitigate risks in their organizations Kathryn collaborated with Bob Pearson, Ray Kerins and the Next Practices Group to bring this discussion to life!
