‘Stand Stuff’ at events… Just sharing an observation from DTW - Ignite. I always keep an eye on what ‘stand stuff’ is being given away to entice you to spend 30 mins watching a demo. The ‘stuff’ can sometimes say something about the team/organisation and the culture. A world travel adapter from Ivanti saved my MWC a few years back when I forgot mine and its brilliant, not a cheapo one. Charges tons of devices. I take it on every trip now (thanks Günter Mayer and team) 👍 Usually there is a lot of shiny new plastic stuff I don’t go for… ditto notepads which prob end up in landfill ☹️. The best stand/booth ‘goodies’ at DTW - Ignite imo definitely go to VMware by Broadcom. 1. Great cause and transforming lives with New Hope Girls (will we see more charitable stuff by others in future? Hope so). 2. Pack down small and light enough to have been transported in someone’s carry on. 3. My kids loved them and filled them with their coins. They loved seeing who made them. Much better than the overpriced £12 emergency bag of Haribo in the airport. Well done VMware by Broadcom. Great use of funds. Very grown up, non flashy 2020s of you. I’m not sure who’s brilliant idea this was. Let’s hope more of the industry can start doing more like this each time they drop a wedge on an event 👍 New Hope Girls

This is why Corporate Philanthropy is so important! I had the amazing experience of sharing New Hope Girls' story with Scotiabank back in March! Scotiabank was able to help us bless 300 vulnerable mothers in different communities around the Dominican Republic. They purchased 300 bags which provided jobs for our Dominican Artisan ladies. Then those funds go right into our safe home for minor girls who have been rescued from exploitation. On top of that, they bought and then stuffed all the bags up with any and everything that a new mother would need to help support her child. They blessed our staff and outreach leaders by allowing them to bless the vulnerable mothers in their surrounding communities and hospitals in the area. Allowing them to empower and give back to their community.
