For several years, in conjunction with Lent, we've offered the alcohol #Freefor40 Program. As part of the program, participants go through a series of measurements — weight, body fat, bloodwork — right after Mardi Gras, and then again after 40 days of abstinence from alcohol. Changes on the INSIDE happen before changes on the OUTSIDE, so it's great to be able to show the public these things within their own bodies. Thank you to The Current for covering! You can read about the program here: https://lnkd.in/ggArgXD7...

Here's how a smile can change the world. Chloe Bellelo, daughter of Tyler Perrin Bellelo, M.D. was recently chosen as one of 500 faces to be featured in this year's National Down Syndrome Society campaign. Their entire family flew to NYC to watch the presentation LIVE. Dr. Bellelo said of the experience: "There are truly no words to convey the awe and amazement that was felt in this square on that morning. To be surrounded by such a beautiful community of children and adults. To see those beautiful 500 faces light up Times Square. The faces of those who truly believe in the beauty and glory of their abilities and do not even place any amount of value in the complexity of their journey. To truly believe that you are able and not disabled! That they are purely happy to overcome and accept whatever obstacle may arise and come through it glorious and resilient! My heart is so full of gratitude, joy and love. My daughter is so blessed! So blessed to believe in all the beauty and glory of her journey. There is no greater sense of pride that has ever filled my heart. And to have been able to be in the presence and share in this moment with this community and my family is just indescribable. I get to feel this way for the rest of my life alongside my daughter and her community… we truly are the lucky few. " #NationalDownSyndromeAwarenessMonth

It's Barbie's motto "if you can dream it, you can be it." So as the #Barbie movie hype hits the nostalgia of childhood, remember each of our employees was once a Barbie and Ken too, with a dream to make the world a better place through helping others. #healthcare #lafayette #inspiration
