Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) offers an additional layer of cybersecurity protection, making it an important tool for electric utilities in the current cyber threat landscape. During this month’s NRECA Co-Op Cyber Tech Meeting, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory’s Scott Mix provided insights into the MFA guidance being developed as part of CESER’s Rural and Municipal Utility Cybersecurity (RMUC) Program to support electric co-ops, public power, and small IOUs with securing their IT and OT systems.
