As displacement rates reach historic levels, millions of refugee children are at heightened risk of deadly diseases, with limited access to vaccines, malaria prevention, and other essential services. The UN Foundation’s ShotAtLife and United to Beat Malaria campaigns have launched #HealthyStart for Refugee Children to provide essential healthcare for one million displaced children across East Africa. A lot can change in 4 years, but our commitment to combat malaria has not! Since we first posted this video, we have gathered more partners, strengthened our research and developed a new spatial repellent to help the communities that need it most. To date, SC Johnson Guardian™ and Mosquito Shield™ spatial repellents have helped protect over 849,000 people across 11 countries. Thanks to the amazing SCJ team and partners, we are one step closer to getting a WHO policy recommendation – which would dramatically increase our impact in the fight against mosquito-borne diseases.
