Here's how you can stay positive during a layoff.
As someone who has experienced layoffs (like most of us), and has advised others on this, lots of suggestions come to mind. One is to just sit & breathe and acknowledge the many emotions you may be experiencing. Sometimes we feel the need to jump right in and start a new job search, but it's important to be in tune with how you're feeling and accept where you are at this moment. I would then suggest taking some time to write down all of the amazing skills and traits you now have in your arsenal, so you can start thinking about how you will articulate them on future job interviews. Perhaps this is also an opportunity to explore new career paths and goals, as well. Also- ask others for advice and continue to make new connections!
