The die was cast for November's elections when the Democratic Party refused to run competitive, democratic primaries. Now party elites are shortlisting younger neoliberals to replace Biden, ensuring that Team Blue's policies will not fundamentally change. It's all excruciating to watch. Thanks to everyone looking beyond November and building viable alternatives to Democrats and Republicans.

In the comments, Mr. Goodrich makes clear that he (and presumably Sunrise Movement as a whole) is committed to working within the Democratic Party. In so committing, the group is dooming itself to incrementalism (at best) at a time when we desperately need systems change.
