A major milestone for Berlin’s #biotech ecosystem! Today, we celebrated the kickoff of a new building destined to house the Berlin Center for Gene and Cell Therapies, backed by Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin, the Federal Government of Germany, and the Senate of Berlin. Bayer Co.Lab Berlin will proudly move into the top two floors of the same facility, reinforcing our role in transforming Berlin into a true biotech hub! It was an honor to welcome Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Governing Mayor of Berlin Kai Wegner, Bayer | Pharmaceuticals President Stefan Oelrich, and other government and industry leaders, to commemorate this significant step forward. As we gear up for the future, we're not waiting; Bayer Co.Lab Berlin will relaunch at the end of this year on the Bayer Pharma campus, supporting scientists and entrepreneurs with state-of-the-art labs, mentoring and programming, well ahead of our move into the new facility in 2028. ### Ein wichtiger Meilenstein für Berlins Biotech-Ökosystem!   Heute haben wir den Startschuss für ein neues Gebäude gefeiert, das Berlins neues Center for Gene and Cell Therapies beherbergen wird, unterstützt von der Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin, der Bundesregierung und dem Berliner Senat. Bayer Co.Lab wird in die beiden obersten Etagen dieses Gebäudes einziehen und damit unsere Rolle in der Entwicklung Berlins hin zu einem wahren Biotech-Hotspot stärken.   Es war uns eine Ehre, diesen wichtigen Meilenstein mit Bundeskanzler Olaf Scholz, dem Regierenden Bürgermeister von Berlin, Kai Wegner, Stefan Oelrich, Leiter der Division Bayer Pharmaceuticals, und anderen VertreterInnen aus Politik und Industrie zu feiern.   Bayer wartet aber nicht bis zur Eröffnung des neuen Gebäudes in 2028, sondern startet schon in 2024: Bayer Co.Lab Berlin wird Ende des Jahres auf unserem Firmencampus in Berlin wieder eröffnen und dort Start-ups mit Laborflächen, Mentoring, und Programming unterstützen und so das Innovationsökosystem weiter stärken.
