Rezang La shone as a beacon of valor for India during the 1962 Indo-China conflict; the battle tells the story of 120 Indian soldiers who took on nearly 3,000 Chinese soldiers, wherein over 1300 Chinese soldiers were killed, while 110 Indian soldiers attained martyrdom. The battle thwarted the Chinese PLA's attempts to breach the critical ridge into the Chushul Valley, thus saving Ladakh from falling into the hands of Chinese intruders.

Farhan is playing the role of Major Shaitan Singh who was leading the Charlie Company 13 Kumaon on the battlefield. ETimes has exclusively learnt that Farhan has undergone a physical transformation for his role in the film. A source close to the development has revealed that Farhan has lost a lot of weight to look leaner, just like how Param Vir Chakra award winner Major Shaitan Singh was during his time in the army. Farhan has also not been making public appearances to keep his look secret, and even during the movie announcement neither his face nor his body was seen.

The physical transformation is nothing new to Farhan, he’s done it before for Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and Toofan where he sported an athlete's physique. However, the journey for 120 Bahadur was very different, as with this one, he had to slim down himself but still maintain body mass and look like a soldier.
The source also added that Farhan has also trimmed his hair into something similar of crew cut which army officers usually sport.
