Kaun Banega Crorepati 16: Amitabh Bachchan reminisces about shooting for Deewar and Kabhi Kabhie; says “Kabhi Kabhie josh mein hum log bohot kuch kar dete hain"
Hosted by the inimitable Amitabh Bachchan , the 16th edition of iconic quiz show, Kaun Banega Crorepati , will host renowned music maestros Shreya Ghoshal and Sonu Nigam in a special episode that promises to captivate audiences. Celebrated for their extraordinary contribution to Indian music, the renowned duo will be seen engaging in a heartfelt conversation with AB as he reminisced about his old shooting days.
Amitabh Bachchan talked about the song "pal do pal ka shayar hoon", from the movie Kabhie Kabhie (1976), and said, “In the film, it is my voice you hear singing”.
He fondly recalled that the first day of shooting took place in a hotel hall in Kashmir. During their banter, the acclaimed Sonu Nigam also asked Mr. Bachchan where specific scenes from Deewaar were filmed. AB shared that most of the movie was shot in Mumbai and reflected on the challenge of switching between the action-packed sequences of Deewaar and the romantic moments of Kabhi Kabhie. The late Yash Chopra, however, encouraged him to embrace the variety, despite the hectic schedules and the constant movement from one set to another. When Sonu complimented the host on his multitasking skills, Big B smiled and said, "Kabhi Kabhi josh mein hum log bohot kuch kar dete hain."

Mr. Bachchan also shared one of his favorite scenes from Deewar, the emotionally charged moment where the iconic dialogue "Aaj khush toh bahot hoge tum" was delivered, admitting it took an entire day to perfect. In relation to the same film, he then recalled a peculiar memory from the death scene in the movie, where during the shoot, the clock present on the set mysteriously chimed the moment his character Vijay Verma’s life ended, adding an eerie touch to the filming as it was not planned to be a part of the iconic scene.
