Today, Russians have attacked a nursing home for the elderly in Sumy. According to current information, there were nearly 300 people in the building – over 200 patients and 60 staff members. The evacuation of people is ongoing, and it is being checked whether anyone remains trapped under the rubble. There are reports of casualties, at least one person is killed. This nursing home for the elderly is not a military base, not a military target. Russia proves once again that its terror has no limits. Photos: State Emergency Service of Ukraine

This is your kind reminder to donate to our fundraiser together with the Come Back Alive Foundation for Ukraine's demining. Why is it important? Ukraine is the most potentially mine-contaminated country in the world since the Second World War. Over 6 million Ukrainian citizens still reside in at-risk areas. Mines and unexploded ordnance pose a threat to people, wildlife, and the agriculture industry. As of now, 5/6 of the fundraiser is completed — 24 metal detectors secured, just 6 more left to our goal: follow the link to donate link 👉🏻 https://lnkd.in/dtsT9q_t

📽 The Oscar-winning film '20 Days in Mariupol' by Mstyslav Chernov told the whole world about Russia's crimes. However, it is not the only documentary film that depicts the realities of Russia's war against Ukraine. As part of the Ukrainian Film Week on our pages, we'd like to share other documentary stories worth watching to better understand the current life in Ukraine. 👉 Swipe through the carousel and save the recommendations. *Disclaimer: Unfortunately, due to copyright restrictions, not all films are available in every country. However, we've made an effort to find resources where you can watch them.

15 September is marked as the International Day of Democracy. The future of democracy in the world is now being decided in Ukraine, as Russia is trying to destroy all its norms and principles by aggressively invading our country. We are grateful to all the partners and allies of Ukraine who share our values and support Ukraine in its fight for freedom and democracy.

A recent survey revealed that 87% of Ukrainian parents believe their children face more threats today than ever before. Globally, this concern is shared by 75% of parents 🌍 For Ukrainians, the reasons are quite clear: war is leaving a devastating mark on children. 1 in 4 children (23%) around the world is directly impacted by war. In Ukraine, the number rises to 99%. But war isn't the only concern. Here's a look at what children around the world are worried about: 📍 war: top concern in Ukraine, Japan, Serbia, and Türkiye 📍 mental health: Brazil, Estonia, Finland, the UK, the USA, and Lithuania 📍 environmental issues: Denmark and France 📍 school safety: Iraq and Qatar 📍 family concerns: Kenya These findings are part of the 'Protection of Childhood: Security Dimensions for Children and Adolescents' survey, which gathered data from 15 countries. Children aged 13–17 and parents of children aged 10–17 were interviewed for the survey on such topics: the impact of war, school safety, online risks, well-being at home, and environmental threats. The survey was conducted for the Fourth Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen by an American company Catalyse Research. Presented at the Summit, it highlights global and local challenges today's youth face. This research reminds us that protecting children is a priority we all share, no matter where you live 🫂
