明治・大正期に訳されたゴーリキーの作品を記した詳細な年表はこれまで発表されていない。本年表はゴーリキーが日本で初めて翻訳された1902年から『ゴオルキイ全集』(日本評論社出版部)が完結した1923年までの新聞・雑誌・単行本を徹底的に調査し作成したものである。年表作成に当たっては原作名を合わせて記し、また英語・ドイツ語からの重訳である場合、可能な限り翻訳の底本を特定した。
