Today is R U OK? Day - a yearly reminder of the impact a simple conversation can have, and the importance of checking in with friends, family, and colleagues to extend support to one another. We spend a great deal of time at work building relationships with our colleagues, so we encourage our team to notice changes in someone who may not be feeling themselves or could use some extra support. It's not always easy to ask the question, so we all got together for our Connection Day, and with the help of Tony Grey, discussed the steps we can take to ask those around us, R U OK? In addition to asking the question, it's also important to remember not everyone is ready to talk - and that's OK. Let them know you're there for them when they are ready to talk. Let's all look after one another today and every other day 💛 🖤

A group of staff members from Dennis Family Homes this week rolled up their sleeves to help others by donating blood and plasma at the Australian Red Cross Lifeblood donor centre in Mount Waverley. This meaningful and community-minded initiative is part of the company’s endeavours around Engagement & Inclusion. Several of our volunteers were donating blood or plasma for the first time but were passionate about lending their support. Lifeblood states that every donation saves up to three lives, which underlines the importance of doing something that helps others in such a major way.

Dennis Family Homes is thrilled to partner with Woodlea Masterplanned Community on the construction of new medium density product. Together, we are delivering seven stages within the townhome precinct, comprising a total of 61 architecturally designed homes. Construction for our first stage of townhomes, Stage 5G, has now commenced, marking a significant milestone in this collaboration. We thank the Woodlea project team for their incredible support and dedication. Our company founder Bert Dennis and wife Dawn encouraged staff to dig deep in support of the Property Industry Foundation’s annual National Hard Hat initiative - and our people once again rallied to the cause with great passion and generosity. Through a collective effort across the company, we managed to raise a total of $8,500 towards this year’s campaign which was recently donated to PIF. The tally represented the aggregate total of monies raised from staff payroll donations in June, along with a recent morning tea and the additional boost of a separate contribution from the Dennis family. The proceeds of this year’s fundraising are being directed towards three of PIF’s Haven House projects in South East Melbourne, Whittlesea and Shepparton helping to provide accommodation for homeless and at risk young people in great need of assistance. Dennis Family has enjoyed a long association with PIF and is proud to join others in our industry in helping to bring their life-changing projects to fruition. Over the past 15 years, our company donated more than $250,000 towards PIF’s annual National Hard Hat Campaign.

Thank you to the ground floor staff at Dennis Family Homes who hosted Australia's Biggest Morning Tea this week! Aside from the great morning tea, so many of our staff have been touched by cancer in one way or another, and it allowed us to connect and share stories and raise vital funds for the Cancer Council.
