Ash Naidu and Ben Dawes of SiteDE recently presented at Digital Built Environment Institute's BILT ANZ 2024 in Melbourne and spoke about the importance of understanding data and its limitations. A big part of this is geospatial coordination and making sure all the data lines up, a crucial element of all projects. #geospatialcoordination #dataanalysis #digitalengineering #datasolutions

Meet Sina Samani, our Digital Engineering and Digital Twin Lead at SiteDE! 1. How long have you worked with SiteDE? I've been with SiteDE since its launch, which is about 2 years. 2. What are some project highlights/experiences you have had as a Digital Engineering and Digital Twin Lead at SiteDE? Delivering automation solutions for large-scale projects is my favourite part of the job. Notable examples include our work on the Sky Deck of Queens Wharf and the automation solutions we implemented for Snowy 2.0. Another exciting project was 443 Queen Street, where we completed a comprehensive as built report within a tight deadline. This required significant development and collaboration among the team to achieve the desired outcome. 3. What is one of the things you love most about working with SiteDe? Every project at SiteDE is challenging, but that's what makes it exciting. Our team has a wide variety of knowledge and expertise, so it never gets boring and there's always something new to learn. 4. What’s something about you that not many people know? In my free time, I enjoy playing the Daf, a traditional musical instrument, as a way to unwind and relax. 5. If you could only eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be? If I could only eat one thing for the rest of my life, it would be kebabs - especially lamb shish, which is my absolute favourite! #DigitalEngineering #DigitalTwin #SiteDE

We recently had the pleasure of hosting Braden, who joined our GIS Team for a work experience secondment. Braden currently works as a Survey Assistant at Bennett + Bennett on the Gold Coast, and he is eager to expand his knowledge and delve deeper into the world of GIS. We are thrilled to support his learning journey and to share what we do here at SiteDE! #WorkExperience #GIS #SiteDE #DataCertaintyProviders

What does "DE" in SiteDE stand for? We get asked this a lot, and the truth is, it can vary depending on the context. Over the last 18 months, we've faced challenges and celebrated successes, and our team's strength shines through in every project we deliver. At our core, we’re about Digital Enablement - providing data certainty with no nonsense. This is our commitment; as we grow, so will our mission. #DigitalEnablement #DataCertainty #SiteDE

CSIRO's Data61's Terria and SiteDE co-developed digital twin proof of concepts for multiple real-world infrastructure projects in energy and commercial property sectors, addressing project barriers like operational delays and a client’s understanding of a project’s deliverables. #digitaltwins

Meet Jake Williams, our Principal Geospatial Consultant at SiteDE! How long have you worked with SiteDE? I started a year and four months ago, back in March last year. What are some project highlights/experiences you have had as a Principal Geospatial Consultant at SiteDE? Since joining SiteDE, I have had the pleasure of working on many exciting and different projects. One that stands out is building the ADAC Viewer and Gazetteer web applications. It was a lot of fun and fantastic to see them helping people day to day, both within the organisation and externally. Another highlight was working with the team to build an image pipeline for the CS Energy Greenbank project. Every week, many images would be taken in the field, and bringing this rapidly scaling data into a GIS system that can support it automatically was both challenging and rewarding. What is one of the things you enjoy most about working with SiteDE? It definitely has to be the team. It’s great working with a team of multidisciplinary specialists who are friendly and approachable. It’s a very supportive environment, and I think this synergy is what makes us function so well together. What’s something about you that not many people know? I live in Australia, but I am also British and a Kiwi. I grew up in all three places and have citizenship in each. I love reading, and I often read several books on the go at once. If you could only eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be? Toad in the hole.

We recently worked with McConnell Dowell on their Aura wastewater pump station, with fantastic results and feedback. "McConnell Dowell engaged SiteDE to create a 3D model for the Aura wastewater pump station as part of the Aura and Harmony Program on Queensland's Sunshine Coast. SiteDE transformed multiple design packages from drawings to a comprehensive 3D model that exceeded our expectations. The model is now used as a construction aid, clash detection tool, and planning asset, integrated into our BIM and GIS systems. Impressed by their high-quality work, we awarded SiteDE additional projects, including two water reservoirs. SiteDE provided fast turnaround and seamless communication across teams, solving issues with great professionalism. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with SiteDE for future modeling needs." #AuraWastewater #HarmonyProgram #SunshineCoast #3DModeling #ConstructionAid #ClashDetection #BIMIntegration #GISIntegration #WaterReservoirs

SiteDE was recently engaged by CS Energy to develop an interactive 3D model of the Greenbank project. The model, aimed at providing an As Constructed representation, linked key project databases and allowed users to view the project's construction, installation, and location over a timeline. This visual tool served for stakeholder communication and as a foundation for training and development of a digital twin. SiteDE hosted the 3D workspace, converted 2D drawings into a 3D model, and assisted with drone data capture. We also provided expert advice on equipment, processed drone data, and integrated it into the 3D model. The final product included links to timelapse cameras and monitoring devices, offering a real-time visual dashboard. Nextspace Ltd #greenbankpowerstation #csenergy #digitaltwins #3dmodel #datacapture
