  • The AgriWebb Community - Helping Hand Project

The Australian bushfires of 2019-20 had a devastating impact on our farming community. As of 1st January 2020, 167 AgriWebb users had farms under threat of fire, with some 409,000 livestock at risk and more than 200,000 hectares burned.

The Australian bushfires of 2019-20 had a devastating impact on our farming community. As of 1st January 2020, 167 AgriWebb users had farms under threat of fire, with some 409,000 livestock at risk and more than 200,000 hectares burned.

Within one week of returning to work from the Christmas break, the AgriWebb Marketing team launched The AgriWebb Community - Helping Hand Project. This project aimed to leverage our already large community of farmers who were willing to volunteer their time and connect them with fire-affected farmers – whether they were AgriWebb users or not.

Due to the sincerity and practical execution of this program, the AgriWebb Community - Helping Hand Project generated extensive media coverage from publications like ABC Radio to news.com.au. This resulted in upwards of 50 pieces of coverage across most of regional Australia.

Thanks to the efforts of AgriWebb's marketing and farm success teams along with our PR agency Lanham Media, the project was hugely successful. We generated applications from both sides and were able to make multiple connections providing recovery assistance, along with feed for farmers that had lost theirs due to devesting bushfires.

The rebuild of AgriWebb.com was driven out of a business need to move faster in a critical time of growth. The current website had several bottlenecks, including the inability for the marketing team to build pages without development involvement and no option for the newly formed UK business to create region-specific content for their market. These issues meant that the current AgriWebb website had very little content and wasn't serving customers with educational content for them to asses the product based on their particular needs.

In October 2019, we developed the latest iteration of AgriWebb's website. Using the designs produced by our in-house designers, we worked with an external agency to custom build the site in WordPress 5.

The new website featured multilingual functionality for the two main markets; Australia and the UK. Though both regions speak English, differences in terminology and product features exist, particularly in the agriculture industry. For better localisation, separate URLs deliver different versions of the site, depending on the user's language selection or physical location.

We built the new website using Elementor an intuitive front-end site builder for WordPress. This site builder allowed the marketing team to take full control over the site and create fantastic looking landing pages and highly engaging content at lightning speed using the brand styles developed by our designers and implemented by the external agency.

At the time of launch, this resulted in a fully-featured website containing over 20+ new SEO focused landing pages that can be easily replicated and customised in the future across multiple current and future geographies.
