Opal Healthcare, now considered a vanguard Provider and one of the largest private operators within the Australian Residential Aged Aged Care Industry, did not start out that way.

Born out of the legacy of the Moran Healthcare Provider, Principle Aged Care, and merged with the visionary QLD lifestyle provider, Domain Aged Care, the Domain Principle Group (Now Opal Healthcare) was destined to become an Industry leader.

Robert was selected as part of a critical transformational consulting team to establish the newly merged organisation that was steered by the institutional investment fund AMP Capital.

As part of the program, Robert lead the establishment of the Revenue Management function of AMP’s newly formed Domain Principle Group. This all coming at a time when the Industry was experiencing its last significant funding reform change from RCS to ACFI in March of 2008.

As a result, Robert’s role required him to assess and mange current operational funding processes, data and systems of the newly formed business, as well as to plan and enable the successful transition of the organisation to meet the requirements of the 2008 funding reform and then imposed funding model, ACFI.

Robert thrives on transformational engagements and the professional and personal experience this project provided is why he has dedicated his management consulting career to #MakingAgedCareBetter
