Remortgage with Mojo & Halifax

We contacted Mojo two days before our 2 year fixed Halifax mortgage was due to end.

We wanted to stay with Halifax but the rates they were offering in the portal were too high.

Joana / Molly from Mojo were able to access rates that Halifax did not show us, and get that mortgage lined up to start within 24 hours.

Really simple and seamless process and will likely use again 👍

Highly recommended - especially Adil Choudry

It’s the second time I’ve used Adil at Mojo - previously on a remortgage. I called on Adil after being seriously let-down by another broker with another firm. We were at risk of losing our dream property, and we also had a tricky income situation for Adil to navigate with our chosen lender. From our first call, Adil worked really hard to get things moving. Our first call to Adil was on Tuesday night, application submitted on Wednesday, and an offer through on the following Tuesday - less than a week in total. Absolutely exceptional service. Thank you so much.

Great Support

My Mortgage Advisor Michelle was always responsive to help me find the best option for me and always came back to me with a back up plan in case the 1st one didn't work out exactly as we have hoped.

Very kind and supportive adding a human touch to what it quite a stressful process.

Seamless experience!

Seamless experience!

Easy, convenient, spoke to two mortgage advisors both so helpful. Received my mortgage offer 2 weeks after the initial phone call with Harvey. They are whole of market. I will use them for any future purchases.

Ghosted

I submitted all of the required personal documentation to the portal; passports, bank statements, pay slips etc. & booked a time to review with an advisor. However I got an email an hour before the appointment saying I’d missed the call and offering a time to reschedule. I didn’t have any missed call on my phone or voicemail but replied via email with a few options. I never got a response & have chased up a few times. If it weren’t for the reviews, I’d feel like this was a scam, especially as they have all of my my sensitive / personal data!!

Fantastic service from Louise and Marc…

Fantastic service from Louise and Marc @ MOJO.
For those that don't know Mojo do not charge a fee directly to the customer; they obtain their fee from the lender which is the same rate you'd get from any independent broker, but the difference you pay them directly. In effect, you're paying for a service that Mojo offers you for free! My advisors (mark and Louise) were fantastic.

They kept me in the loop at all stages of the process. I helped get all the documents needed from my end. It was a very simple, easy process with very good communication throughout. I would recommend this to anyone looking to use Mojo their broker.

Perfect whole of market offering and with their rate review offer, always on top of mortgage deals and match them to your requirements.

Would recommend MOJO when looking for guidance, support and assistance with new / re-mortgage etc.

Website poor but staff great

Not great. Followed the questionnaire thinking I’d get estimates at the end. No, I had to book an appointment with someone and no ability to cancel it on their platform or contact details. Just the option to log out. Waste of my time. Waste of Emily’s time.

Edit - Emily called and I explained to her what I was after. She was fabulous and will send over the information required.

Good idea. Terrible execution

In principle, I love the concept of Mojo. And it's relatively simple to use. However... it depends who you deal with over the phone.

The first person attending me (not going to put names here for bmthe bad things) didn't seem very interested on helping me. I even missed a deal on a mortgage because of missunderstanding on requirements and missing the deadline. He was very condescendent (I still can't figure out why) and also said over the phone some perks of the mortgage that weren't real when I received the paperwork... and by the time I got it, I couldn't afford to delay it anymore. He claimed the legal expenses would be covered by the lender, but nothing of that was true with the offer in front of me.

I guess this could be a one off bad experience, as the second person was a lot nicer. Tamika was much more professional and turned the experience around.

Unfortunately, it was too late, as I missed an opportunity for a better mortgage deal and she can't make up the conditions of the mortgage to pay the legal fees of the purchase as person 1 suggested.

I think online comparison tools are here to stay, and probably the best one in execution will remain way above the rest.

For my next mortgage surely trying a different one.

I hope to get an answer to my submitted complaint.
