Debra McVicker Lynch is a federal magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the Southern District of Indiana. She was first appointed to this position on October 24, 2008. Her current term will expire on October 23, 2024.[1]

Judge Lynch received her undergraduate degree from the University of Miami and her law degree from the Indiana University School of Law.[1]

Career

Judge Lynch began her career in 1986 as a law clerk to Judge Sarah Evans Barker. She was then Of Counsel at the law firm Taft, Stettinius & Hollister LLP from 1988 until her judicial appointment in 2008. She also works as an adjunct professor at the Indiana University School of Law.[1]
