The August 26, 2014, general election in Collier County featured three seats up for election. Roy Terry III was the only incumbent to seek re-election in 2014, facing a challenge from Thomas Andler in District 5. Kathleen Greenawalt, Kelly Mason and Jacob Winge were running to replace Pat Carroll, who did not file for re-election in District 1. Luis Bernal, Erika B. Campaign themes

2014

Donalds provided the following statements on her campaign website:

" Excellence for our Children

Our children deserve the best quality education from our neighborhood schools. We must empower our kids to achieve their highest potential by learning at their own unique pace. This requires that students be the primary factor in all decision making.

A Voice for Parents
Parent involvement is the most accurate indicator of student performance. As a parent, I’ve seen the need for this participation and have united parents to engage in our local education system.

Freedom for our Teachers
Our educators are often forced into government mandated regulatory boxes that hamper them. We need to provide our teachers with the freedom to educate our children as they know best; We need to keep politics out of the classroom.

Accountability to Taxpayers
I am committed to ensuring that taxpayer dollars are spent efficiently with maximum benefit to our students. I will utilize my financial expertise to analyze the budget and provide solutions which reduce top-heavy administrative costs, shifting those dollars to the classrooms.[11]
