Hugh Chauvin was a 2014 Libertarian candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 6th Congressional District of Texas.[1] Hugh Chauvin lost the general election on November 4, 2014.

Chauvin unsuccessfully sought election to the seat in 2012 as well. Chauvin was defeated by Republican incumbent Joe Barton on November 6, 2012.[2]

Chauvin is a construction manager in the energy industry. He has over 25 years of experience internationally. Additionally, Chauvin served in the U.S. Air Force. He attained the rank of staff sergeant and was honorably discharged.[3]

Chauvin ran in the 2014 election for the U.S. House to represent Texas' 6th District. Chauvin won the Libertarian Party nomination at the state convention in April 2014.[4] He was defeated by incumbent Joe Barton (R) in the general election on November 4, 2014.[5]

Chauvin ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House to represent Texas' 6th District. He ran as a Libertarian candidate. He ran against incumbent Joe Barton (R), Kenneth Sanders (D) and Brandon Parmer (G) in the general election on November 6, 2012.[6]
