Kenny Brighton was a 2014 Republican candidate for District 92 of the Florida House of Representatives.

A lifelong resident of Broward County, Brighton graduated from Deerfield Beach High School. He earned his bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Florida. He went on to earn a master's degree in public affairs in 2009 and a master's degree in family, youth and community sciences with a concentration in nonprofit leadership in 2011 from the University of Florida.[1]

At the time of his candidacy, Brighton was working as the director of development for Habitat Humanity of Broward. He previously worked as the associate director of development for the University of Florida Foundation.[1]

Elections for the Florida House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on August 26, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 20, 2014. Incumbent Gwyndolen Clarke-Reed was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while Kenny Brighton was unopposed in the Republican primary. Clarke-Reed defeated Brighton in the general election.[3][4]
