Polk County is located within the Tallapoosa Judicial Circuit of the Superior Court Seventh District.

The United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia has jurisdiction in Polk County. Appeals from the Northern District go to the United States Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit.
