A parliamentary question was on the ballot in Slovakia on September 18, 2010.

This election was deemed invalid due to insufficient voter participation. Slovakian law required a turnout of greater than 50 percent; however, only 22 percent of the population voted in the September election. Of those who voted, the majority had supported the proposed referendum.[1]

This measure asked voters whether or not to reduce the number of parliament members from 150 to 100. The Freedom and Solidarity (SaS) party proposed the referendum along with five other questions. A majority of the nation's citizens needed to participate in the election to validate the results. The same requirement was not met in the six previous elections in Slovakia.[2]
