The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 20, 2014. Incumbent Daphne Campbell defeated Taj C. Echoles and Michael A. Hepburn in the Democratic primary and defeated Cedon Saintil, Jr. (I) in the general election.[3][4]
