Campaign themes

2014

Seefeldt's website has emphasized the following campaign themes:[2]

" For Private, Affordable Health Care - Not Obamacare

A recognized expert on the new Obamacare law – its cost and consequences – Terri Seefeldt will be an invaluable asset as state leaders work to ensure Floridians are protected from the law’s worst aspects. She will continue to strongly oppose efforts by Washington to take over our health care system or to impose unreasonable (and expensive) mandates on our state. Terri’s goal is to ensure that the private market remains viable so our choice of doctors is preserved and health care is made more affordable.

For Stronger Schools & Families

As our legislator, Terri Seefeldt will be a vocal advocate for safer, stronger schools with smaller class sizes and the highest quality teachers and staff. She will work to reduce unfunded state mandates on school districts, while seeking more dollars and decision-making authority for our local school boards. Terri Seefeldt will put families first in Tallahassee!

For A Better Quality of Life

Terri Seefeldt knows that jobs are the fuel of Florida’s economy. As a former business owner, she has first-hand experience with funding budgets and meeting payrolls. She will reduce burdensome regulations, while protecting the delicate balance between Florida’s precious natural resources and our need to attract clean industry.

For A Brighter Future

The population growth in Orange and Lake Counties has been taxing more than our patience. Inadequate roads and overcrowded schools are hurting future growth, and unless these problems are addressed now, the health of our local economy is in serious peril. Terri Seefeldt wants our fair share of state tax dollars for local projects that can bring immediate relief, and she intends to fight for it in Tallahassee. Terri Seefeldt has the common-sense values and old-fashioned work ethic to make a difference for Florida’s future![3]
