Washington County is located within the Middle Judicial Circuit of the Superior Court Eighth District.

In addition to the Superior Court the people of Washington County are served by a Probate Court, a Juvenile Court, a Magistrate Court, four Municipal Courts and a State Court.

The United States District Court for the Middle District of Georgia has jurisdiction in Washington County. Appeals from the Middle District go to the United States Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit.
