Our Chairman Davide Cappellino (AGC Glass Europe) reacts to the publication of Mario Draghi's report on the 'Future of European #Competitiveness' ⤵ The report realistically sets out the challenges ahead and makes proposals which must guide the new Commission over the next five years.🎯 The EU needs to rely on industries capable of manufacturing lower-carbon solutions which contribute to reducing our #emissions. This will be possible with strong economic and industrial policies that tackle high #Energy costs, support innovation to #decarbonise manufacturing processes and create a global level playing field. We must also strive to improve the #EnergyEfficiency of buildings, industries and energy systems. Today, Glass for Europe was pleased to contribute to the Glass Convention Nordic 2024, through our colleague Justin Loup. The menu was varied, from discussions on the cooperation within our national partners group to the #recycling of flat #glass in the EU, via an update on the #Eurocodes for glass structures. 🤝 📃 ♻ It was also the occasion to discuss the realities and concerns of the local #flatglass value chain in the Nordic countries.
