✋ If there’s one interactive video you’ll watch today, let it be this one... ✋ On the occasion of World First Aid Day tomorrow, we’re zeroing in on a critical theme: First Aid and Sports. At Novartis, we’re all about reducing the impact of cardiovascular disease and sports can absolutely help keep your heart healthy. But when things go wrong, every second counts. Why should you care about first aid? ❤️ CPR and AED Training Save Lives: Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated external defibrillator (AED) use are essential for sports safety. Sudden cardiac arrests in sports settings are rare, but can have fatal outcomes if not addressed immediately. Training in these areas is not just a precaution; it’s a necessity. ❤️ Chances of survival decrease by 7-10% with every minute that passes without defibrillation. Bystander CPR can double or triple the likelihood of survival from cardiac arrest in sports settings. Follow UEFA’s interactive video (available in Dutch and French) and learn the skills to act fast and help create an environment for safer sports and healthier hearts in whatever environment. 🙏 👉 https://get-trained.com/en #WorldFirstAidDay IFRC Global First Aid Reference Centre

As Stephanie De Swaef - our oncology medical advisor - explains, her great passions are health, sports and working with people. Her previous role as a physical therapist allowed her to combine these passions, but she realised that while she loved helping one patient at a time, she wanted to have a bigger impact. That desire for impact led her to a career at Novartis, where many of her projects focus on making a meaningful difference for people living with advanced breast cancer. Learn more about Stephanie’s story in the clip below 👇 #NovartisTogether #NovartisLife #NovartisPeople
