About the WCO The World Customs Organization (WCO), established in 1952 as the Customs Co-operation Council (CCC) is an independent intergovernmental body whose mission is to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of Customs administrations. Today, the WCO represents 182 Customs administrations across the globe that collectively process approximately 98% of world trade. As the global center of Customs expertise, the WCO is the only international organization with competence in Customs matters and can rightly call itself the voice of the international Customs community. WCO & E-learning The WCO has already developed 23 Customs-focused e-learning courses covering more than 500 hours of e-training on major international instruments, topics and concepts that contribute to enhancing the work of Customs officers from across the globe, directly at their work place. It is now making e-learning solutions available to private sector professionals, which have been suitably adjusted to meet their needs About the WCO Academy WCO Academy is the Customs e-learning portal for current and future Trade Leaders. It is private sector’s point of access to the World Customs Organization’s expertise. Online courses, webinars, e-books, databases, and global Customs news have been developed to serve the needs of the Trade Community. Various topics are covered in WCO Academy, such as the Harmonized System and the WCO Data Model. Also, there is always an effort to offer courses in more languages. Learners can either take standalone online courses, or purchase complete solutions (bundles), which include access to the online courses on their topics of interest, the purchase of corresponding publications, and access to online tools such as the Harmonized System Database. Moreover, companies wishing to upskill their staff, or Universities wishing to offer access to the courses to their students and faculty, can benefit from customized solutions.
