We believe expressing gratitude is more than a single gesture, it’s a collection of moments that foster a culture of appreciation. Throughout the summer, we’ve been celebrating our #WinningTeam with events across our offices, bringing our colleagues together to connect, take a break, and have some well-deserved fun. Here are a few snippets from the past couple months.

On this #InternationalDayOfCharity, we wanted to share a recent activity involving our Global Operations Leadership team during their annual conference. Our colleagues were challenged with assembling bicycles for the local community. The bikes were donated to our community investment partner, Evergreen Canada and will support their learn-to-bike program. #ManulifeImpact Video Description: This group is putting together bikes. They're going to be donated to one of our community investment partners, Evergreen Canada. Evergreen is an amazing nonprofit organization. We actually support a bike program that they have there, which is a learn to bike program. Newcomers, children, anyone that really has never ridden a bike can come together and learn and it gets them outside exercising, the whole bit. So, this crew are putting together the bikes. They then have to pitch them as a collaboration and a group exercise, and the winners will receive $100 into their Impact Hub, where they can donate that back to a charity of their choice. Not everyone has the privilege of owning and riding a bike and we're going to make that happen. Bike Power!

We believe in embracing our differences and cultivating a space where all colleagues can thrive. This year, we pledged our commitment to the Valuable 500, a global organization working to advance disability inclusion. This commitment underscores our ongoing efforts to improve opportunities for people living with disabilities globally. #ManulifeInclusion

Over the course of the year, colleagues sent over 290,000 thank yous to one another through our recognition platform, Podium. Gratitude is just one of the ways we build on our #WinningTeam and culture. Video Description: Every 63 seconds someone receives recognition in Podium. Over 290,000 Podium recognitions were awarded so far this year. Podium helps our Winning Team thrive! Thank you to all our colleagues who put recognition at the forefront of their teams.
