In July of last year, we introduced our re-imagined pharmacy look and feel at two Shoppers Drug Mart locations in Ontario. Since then, we have opened more of these new clinics in Shoppers Drug Mart and Pharmaprix stores across the country. This week, we opened the first clinic with the new design in one of our grocery stores.   Congratulations to everyone who helped bring the future of pharmacy to the Real Canadian Superstore in Sarnia, Ontario. Not only does this location have a top-notch pharmacy team, they now have a pharmacy care clinic and consultation space, which allows their pharmacists to better serve their community.   The new design features three clinic rooms (including a child-friendly space with vibrant colours and interactive games), a new dispensary layout and a care concierge to guide patients through their clinic visit.   I am incredibly proud of the vital role that our central office teams and thousands of dedicated pharmacists across our network continue to play in enhancing patient care.  Anthony Spina Rahim Ismail Nitu Singh Jeff Leger Per Bank Jonathan Carroll Frank Gambioli Sharyon de Souza

ICYMI: We've reconfirmed our very important partnership with the Ontario government by committing to providing 23 million free menstrual products to schools across the province where students need these resources the most. For too long, inequitable access to menstrual products has held countless women and girls back from reaching their full potential. In fact, 17% of Canadians who menstruate are unable to access period care products and that number jumps to 25% in low-income households. Every absent day of school is a missed opportunity to learn, grow and thrive. Since 2021, we’ve pledged to donate over 40 million period products across Canada and are proud to have made a difference in ensuring more students have access to the products they need and deserve – keeping them in class, where they belong. https://bit.ly/4fFxsqP

We are proud to have supported Dalhousie University and Dr. Kyle Wilby on this important research that will serve to break both barriers and stigmas while increasing care for patients across Nova Scotia.

Celebrating the latest Pharmacy Care Clinic opening in Alberta last week, this time in Edmonton’s Eaux Claires neighbourhood. The clinics are improving the patient experience – increasing access to the healthcare services Canadians need and deserve, in a convenient and comfortable setting. Congratulations to Lynn Gilmour Bsc Pharm APA CDE and the team on the successful grand opening!

The 2024 Shoppers Drug Mart® Run for Women has come to a close, and we would like to thank everyone who participated or supported the Run this year.   Across 18 communities over 27,000 participants, ran, walked and rolled in support of local women’s mental health programs, and together we raised $3.3M!   Thank you, Canada!
