When Angie Gelinas moved to the Yukon to become Store Manager of Walmart Canada’s Whitehorse store two years ago, it was love at first sight. And while the breathtaking landscapes initially drew Angie in, it was the community that convinced her to stay. Because of its location and the remoteness of the surrounding regions, the Whitehorse store continues to play an important role in the lives of residents since it opened its doors more than 20 years ago, providing customers from near and far with their everyday essentials at affordable prices. “I love Whitehorse. He started as a Customer Service Manager at our Fort St. John, British Columbia store and continued to soar in various roles including Co-Manager and Temporary Store Manager and then joined Walmart Fleet, starting up the fleet team in BC, where he’s now the Senior Manager of Regional Fleet Operations.  When Ravish and his family were facing hardship after his daughter fell ill, he found support from his leaders and peers at Walmart Canada, which allowed him to continue to pursue his career ambitions, while taking care of his family.
