Gautam Sharma-led Brevan Howard Digital has launched BH Digital Solutions to target companies that have Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies on their balance sheets. Brevan Howard has become the first global hedge fund to have 100 employees in the UAE. 🏢 The firm's Abu Dhabi office in ADGM is home to its co-founder Trifon Natsis, compliance head Ryan Taylor, several portfolio managers, and quantitative researchers. 🏢 Izzy Englander's Millennium Management, which has an office in the Dubai International Financial Centre, is not far behind in terms of headcount. Millennium has roughly 80 employees in its Dubai office. 🏢 Other hedge funds that have a strong on-ground presence in the UAE include Schonfeld (Dubai), Verition (Dubai), Point72 (Dubai), Qube Research (Dubai), Squarepoint Capital (Dubai). 🏢 “There are more hedge funds beefing up their teams across macro, FX, and quantitative strategies," said Oscar Orellana-Hyder🪢 , co-founder of Cordell Partners.
